Carolyn and Rich's engagement session was kind of its own fairytale.
It took place early on a mid-May morning in Central Park. We had picked a May date back in February when we started planning their photoshoot, in the hopes that 'April Showers Would Bring May Flowers' but alas, the NYC weather gods are a fickle bunch, and the day before..it rained. A lot.
Thankfully, the morning of it was just a slight bit drizzly and we walked into the park without a drop...and lots of fog. Lots and lots and lots of fog.
As we approached Bow Bridge, I was unsure of how this would go. Light and Airy isn't my usual style - I prefer things sharp, bright and vibrant and I love keeping things true to color - but I decided to lean into it with my own twist. The fog added a dreamy texture to the photos, and it made each location along the way tell a new story. With each different location, a new lighting option presented itself too. And it still turned out to be perfect.
Carolyn and Rich were also the perfect subjects - fun and easygoing, in love and just there for the ride and happy to go along with my crazy ideas. You can just feel the love between these two. Congratulations to you both - you make a beautiful couple - and peep their album below!
