Sometimes I wonder how I get so lucky to meet so many amazing people through my work. I don't know exactly how they find me but often, but occasionally it feels a bit like fate, which was no exception with these two lovebirds,
A funny anecdote, if you will...

The same morning Luis contacted me, I was texting with my host sister from Spain - Mayte. Mayte and I became fast friends when I lived in Europe years ago, and she was catching me up on her life, her parents (my host parents) and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend's name? Luis.
Cut to a few hours later, and I receive a call from a man seeking a proposal photoshoot for his girlfriend. They were traveling from out of town to New York City - first time for both - and he had a very specific vision in mind. Photos at Brooklyn Bridge Park - the poles view - with the skyline behind. This man's name? Luis!
Now I know what you're thinking. OMG, is that Mayte's Luis?! Well yes...and no. While it was not the same Luis as Mayte's Luis...my client Luis' girlfriend was also named Maite!!! Just a slightly different spelling. What are the odds! I felt intrinsically like this was meant to be, and after a quick 'mira lo que pasó' text to my Mayte in Spain, Luis and I got to the work of planning this proposal.
We hatched a plan - Luis would tell Maite that he planned a photoshoot to commemorate their trip to NYC with special memories. Maite would agree, and therefore be all dressed and ready. We picked a spot to meet and I clued them in on how the 'session' would go. And, at the designated moment with the designated signal...Luis got down on one knee and popped the question!
Safe to say, Maite was surprised! And of course, she said yes. And next year, I get to see them again for their wedding. Let the love celebrations continue!
