Creative, Planning and Shoot Questions

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I am based in NYC, but I love to travel and would be honored to go wherever you need me to. Please note travel costs may apply. There are no lodging fees for weddings in the Detroit/Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

Do you work with interfaith/interracial/LGBTQIA+ couples?

Yes! I love love in all forms and have had the great privilege of capturing celebrations that are span many religions, cultures and backgrounds. I will always work to ensure that you feel your needs are being heard and all traditions and customs are met with a care to detail and sensitivity.

Do you help with planning? Can I make special photography requests?

A: Absolutely! Above all I wish to capture the moments that matter to you, as this is your day, so I welcome collaboration as we plan your shotlist, locations, and all creative ideas using image inspiration and moodboards.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot Canon R6 and 5D Mark 3, with a variety of zoom and prime lenses, as well as on camera flash. Off camera flash can be used if needed, but I typically like to keep a low footprint so as not to interfere with or distract from your day!

What happens if details change between booking and the wedding?

Life happens and things change - it’s totally normal! I encourage all my couples/planners to get in touch whenever they have anything they need to discuss.

We’re nervous to be photographed. How can you help us feel comfortable?

I always say that being nervous before a shoot is very normal - after all, how often are we around a professional camera? Through prep calls beforehand and a calm, easy and lighthearted approach during the shoot, my hope is that our time together will feel more like hanging with friends, so you forget you’re even being photographed, and just enjoy your time!

How long are your sessions?

Portrait sessions start around one hour, events start at two hours and weddings begin around 4 hours.

Do you work with tourists?

Yes!! I love photographing visitors to NYC and have worked with clients from California to Norway. All traveling clients receive my special guide to the city as well!

Do you have a preferred list of vendors you can share?

I have a wide network of industry professionals to refer from, based on your needs. I never receive compensation for referrals - these are just vendors I love and trust.

How do you handle weather changes?

I check weather reports daily, and am always ready with solutions and options if it plans to interfere with your day. We will discuss all of the backup ideas during planning!

Booking Questions

What is your booking process? Will there be a contract?

Yes, all sessions include full prep and a contract. For more details, check out the 'The Experience' page in the About section!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes!

For weddings, the first payment is a 40% non-refundable retainer to secure your date. The remainder can be paid in one or two installments leading up to your date.

For Elopements, City Hall and all other sessions, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required at booking. The payment remainder is due one week before your session.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I am fully insured by State Farm and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI). Please allow 4-5 days.

What is your cancelation policy?

While I hope this is never the case, I ask that you inform me immediately if you cancel your wedding. As confirmed bookings prevents me taking another wedding, I am unable to refund your retainer payment. Depending upon when you cancel, you may not be responsible for your balance but please consult your final contract for specific details.

From my end: I have never missed a wedding, however, in the unlikely event that I am unable to attend, I have a number of contingency plans that we will discuss ahead - typically replacing myself with a trusted photographer of similar style for the day, while I handle your edits afterwards.

Editing & Image Delivery Questions

Who edits the photos and how/when are they delivered?

I hand select, color correct and edit every single image to ensure quality and adjust as needed to remove any distractions or disruptions in the photos. All images are delivered in a private digital gallery and I will also include a bunch of Black and White copies.

I typically include a sneak peek within 48-72 hours, and galleries are delivered in 2-8 weeks depending upon the type of project.

How many photos will I receive?

This will depend on the package you choose but I personally can never have too many photos, and want you to experience the same! After your shoot, I will go through and choose the best images, removing any unflattering shots and edit the best. Typically you'll receive a minimum of 50-75 images per hour of shooting.

Can we be featured on your Instagram, Website and/or Blog?

100%! I love sharing your photos with tasteful Instagram and Blog posts and am careful not to include names unless desired.

I do understand if you wish to keep your images private; I am happy to discuss non-usage options with you.

Will you send me the raw images?

I can totally relate to all the reasons you'd want the full album and raw images, however I unfortunately am unable to share unedited images, and the reason is pretty simple! When you book with me, you book my style as well, and I want to make sure you have the best final product. The unedited photos are just that--not quite final. I promise you will get a ton of great images and not want for anything! If you do have any special edit requests though, I include one round of notes in every package.

Can I order prints and albums?

Definitely! There is an optional print store attached to all galleries, fulfilled by a third party lab I know and trust. Albums are heirloom quality and hand-designed by me. Reach out for a quote!
